Zipp’s 202 NSW Tubeless Disc-brake model packs a heavy load of performance into a light and nimble rear wheel. This wheel flies up the toughest climbs, shaves time off descents, and handles deftly off the pavement. For aero performance, Zipp’s ABLC Sawtooth dimple design extends to the rim’s edge. The 202 NSW Tubeless Disc-brake is optimised for wide tyres with lower tyre pressure to meet the performance needs of modern riders in search of low rolling resistance and high compliance. With an internal width of 21mm, the wheelset is well suited for rough roads and tests fastest with a 28mm tyre in the majority of wind angles.

ABLC Sawtooth

The Sawtooth dimple design consists of 12 nodes that are specifically clocked to start aerodynamic shearing at a rate of 50hz at a rider speed of 20mph. Sawtooth accomplishes this by inducing small sheet vortices that shed at a low magnitude, but at a higher natural frequency, thus decreasing the laminar bubble effect on the aerodynamically shielded side of the rim’s profile to further reduce high yaw drag and improve crosswind stability.
